Map current roles to OrbaOS roles

The OrbaOS model introduces four new roles that replace traditional project management:Outcome Architect, Flow Engineer, Ethics Guardian, and Consciousness Architect. This worksheet helps you map your current team structure to these roles and identify transition pathways.

The Four OrbaOS Roles

Outcome Architect

Defines what to optimize within complex adaptive systems. Translates strategic intent into measurable outcomes.

Flow Engineer

Shapes how work flows. Tunes value streams, designs feedback loops, and optimizes flow metrics.

Ethics Guardian

Defines guardrails for acceptable AI decision-making. Ensures autonomous systems operate within ethical boundaries.

Consciousness Architect

Designs organizational consciousness—the shared understanding, values, and mental models that guide autonomous coordination.

How to Use

  1. Current Role Inventory: List all current roles in your organization, especially project managers, program managers, coordinators, and related positions.
  2. Role Mapping: For each current role, identify which OrbaOS role(s) it could transition to. Some roles may map to multiple OrbaOS roles.
  3. Skills Gap Analysis: For each transition, identify required skills that need development and existing skills that transfer.
  4. Transition Planning: Create 18-36 month development pathways for each individual, including training, certifications, and hands-on experience.
